Data

Structured, source-attributed datasets on cryptocurrency exchanges, chains and infrastructure. Every row is dated and sourced.

MiCA CASP authorisation status of major exchanges

Whether major centralised crypto exchanges hold a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) authorisation under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) — mandatory for any exchange serving EU clients since the transitional period ended 1 July 2026. A licence from one EU/EEA member state passports across all 27 + EEA. Status is not authoritative; verify any individual exchange against the official ESMA register before relying on it.

Layer-1 and layer-2 chains compared: consensus, throughput, finality

Consensus mechanism, real-time throughput and time-to-finality for the chains an exchange or wallet user is most likely to interact with. Throughput figures are live, trailing one-hour real-world transaction rates — not each chain's theoretical maximum — snapshotted on the retrieval date; they fluctuate significantly hour to hour and should not be read as fixed capacity numbers.

Crypto RPC / node providers compared

Free-tier limits, chain coverage and WebSocket support for the RPC/node infrastructure providers wallets, exchanges and dApps use to talk to blockchains. Free-tier limits and unit systems differ materially between providers (compute units vs. credits vs. requests-per-second) and change without notice — always confirm against the provider's own current pricing page before relying on a figure.

Crypto staking yields and unbonding periods

Approximate staking reward rates and lock-up/unbonding periods for major proof-of-stake assets. APR figures are Kraken's own published bonded-staking rates on the retrieval date, not a network-wide average — actual yield varies by validator, platform and (for inflationary networks like Cosmos) by how it is measured against issuance. Treat every figure as approximate and time-stamped, not a guarantee.
